	It's Environmental Week this week, a chance to focus on global environmental and sustainability topics! There is also a poster competition, where the best posters designed will be sent to the printers! Good luck! Reminders: Wednesday the school is closed (25th) but Thursday, it is open. After school activities are still running on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Today, we had Suzanne Jankowski (UK author) in to read her books to our EY and Grade 1 students. Much fun was had by all and we thank her for her visit. Should children wish to purchase her autographed books then send in the forms, etc, tomorrow as she will be leaving Egypt on Saturday.

Reminder again that this Thursday (19th) the school is closed for Coptic Epiphany and next Wednesday (25th),public holiday. This after school activity session will be added on the end of the others, not missed out.

Next week will be Environment Week - we will be studying all sorts of things about the environment and having a poster making competition!

Glad to see everybody back at school after the Xmas break. Some reminders for this week:

Sunday, 15/1, we have Martin Luther King Theme Day for the American Dept. where G1 - 5 to be learning about his life and influence on American Policy.

17/1 - 24/1 - Arabic Studies Mid - Year Exams (Y2 - 6, G1 - 5). See schedules in important info' box to the left. Revise, get plenty of sleep. Read the question carefully and if you are stuck, leave it and come back to it later (else mind will go blank as may panic - top tip!). If you are unwell, stay home, we can run it another time for you, no problem.

19/1 - Coptic Epiphany (public holiday - school closed)

Activities / sports practices and drama / choir rehearsals after school this week Mon - Weds. Don't forget to remind your parents that you will get home late if you are involved in any of these.
